FBLA Officers Prepare for Red Ribbon Week at RHS!
“Red Ribbon Week at RHS”! The Future Business Leaders of American and Students Against Destructive Decisions work together to promote the National Red Ribbon Campaign at Russellville High School. FBLA Officers were busy on Monday decorating campus with red ribbons. FBLA would like to say a special thank you to Logan Wallace for helping with the bows. Since its beginning in 1985, the Red Ribbon has touched the lives of millions of people around the world. In response to the murder of DEA Agent Enrique Camarena, angered parents and youth in communities across the country began wearing Red Ribbons as a symbol of their commitment to raise awareness of the killing and destruction cause by drugs in America. In 1988, the first National Red Ribbon Celebration was sponsored. Today, the Red Ribbon serves as a catalyst to mobilize communities to educate youth and encourage participation in drug prevention activities.
