I am currently in my 28th year of teaching. I spent my high school days at Russellville High School and graduated in 1990. I then went to the University of Alabama and graduated in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education/Language Arts, and in 1999 I graduated from The University of North Alabama with a M.A. degree in Secondary Education/English. I graduated and received my Ed. S. in Educational Administration at Delta State University in 2014.

I have been married to Cam DeArman for twenty-six years, and we have two children. Cameron is twenty-four years old, and a graduate of Birmingham Southern College where he was a member of the football team. Ashlyn is nineteen years old, and a sophomore at the University of North Alabama where she is a member of the cheerleading squad.
