I am a proud Russellville High School Alumni… “Class of 1985.”  Upon graduating from RHS I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics Education from the University of North Alabama and a Master’s Degree in Family and Consumer Sciences Education from Alabama A & M.  I am now in my 31st year of teaching at Russellville High School. 

I was born and raised in Franklin County and have lived for 31 years in the Tharptown community.  I am blessed with two daughters Kara and Maggie.  Kara is a 2009 graduate of Russellville High School and a 2013 graduate of the University of North Alabama with a B.S. degree in Business Management. Kara is employed by G&G Steele as the Human Resources Manager.  She is married to Seth Pendergrass.   My 2nd daughter Maggie is also a graduate of RHS with the class of 2013.  She followed Kara and I to the University of North Alabama where she received a degree in Political Science/Pre Law in 2017.  Maggie graduated from Cumberland School of Law in Birmingham and is an Associate Attorney at Terry Powell Law Firm in Decatur.  I am a "Sugar" to my grandson James Dean Pendergrass "JD". I am excited to add 2 new additions to my family in 2022, Maggie will marry Patrick Witt and Kara is expecting a little girl due in December.   I consider my family my greatest accomplishment.

 I consider myself truly blessed to work in such a great school and community.  Thank you for letting me be just a small part of your child’s life.  It’s GREAT  to be a Golden Tiger!
