Welcome! I first began teaching at Russellville High School in 2014, and I currently teach 10^th Grade Honors English and AP Literature and Composition.

I graduated 2nd in my class from Wilson High School in 2008 before attending the University of North Alabama where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Secondary Education/English Language Arts in 2013. I graduated with an additional degree from the University of North Alabama in 2021: a Master of Arts in Secondary Education/English Language Arts. Roar Lions!

I just married the love of my life in January of 2023 this school year, so many of my students are still adjusting to my new name: Mrs. Gist!

I am also a co-sponsor over the Marching Hundred Auxiliary (Majorettes, Tigerettes, and Color Guard) and a co-sponsor over prom. I absolutely love my job and cannot wait for another wonderful year as a Golden Tiger!
