Meet the Paraprofessionals
Teresa Hubbard
Teresa is an RHS graduate and has worked for over 40 years in the multiple disabilities classroom! She enjoys working with students each day. She resides in the Tharptown community with her cats. When she isn't at school she enjoys baking, sewing, doing puzzles, and helping others.
Ponda Gordon
Ponda is a 1987 graduate of RHS and holds an associate's degree from Northwest-Shoals Community College. She has been married to her husband, Elliot Gordon, for 30 years. They have two children. Her daughter Katelynn lives with her husband, Coleman, in Trinity, AL, where she teaches math at West Morgan High School. Her son, Charlie, works in the Student Affairs Department at Auburn University and is in graduate school. Mrs. Gordon attends the Methodist Church, and is active in Book Lovers Study Club, loves to read, cook, and make quilts. She enjoys each day working with the students, and seeing them achieve their goals and grow. This is her 18th year of working in the RCS system.
Carmen Poss
Carmen graduated from Russellville High School in 2000. She is married to Jim and they have four children-Jayna, Javan, Asher, and Kingzlee. Their family attends Branches Church. Carmen and her husband enjoy watching their kids participate in numerous sports and activities. "We are proud to be Golden Tigers".
