I am originally from Mississippi but have made the Shoals my home for the last 24 years. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Athens State University and a Master's degree in Elementary Education from UNA. I am startring my 17th year in education with 14 years of classroom experience.

My husband, Kimanthi and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary this year. We have two children Carleigh and Kaden, one grandchild, John, and a second grandchild on the way. 

I have a passion for math and spend my summers teaching the APlus College Ready E3 curriculum to teachers across the state. 

In my free time I love to travel, watch all kinds of soccer and read.
