Mrs. Monica Balding is a fifth grade teacher at Russellville Elementary School. She has taught fifth grade at RES since 1995. She is a graduate of Berry High School, now Hoover High, in Hoover, Alabama. She attended the University of Alabama where she received her undergraduate degree in elementary and early childhood education in 1994. She later attended the University of North Alabama where she earned her master's degree in 1998. 

 

Mrs. Balding is married to Gene Balding. They have two children. Daniel who is a graduate of Russellville HIgh and the University of Alabama in Huntsville and Kaitlyn who is a recent graduate of Russellville High and is currently attending the University of Alabama.
