Mrs. Dana Crummie began her teaching career in 1992 as a sixth grade teacher at Florence Christian Academy. She then moved to Underwood Elementary in 1993 where she taught 5th grade for five years. After her daughter was born, she became a stay-at-home mom until her children were both in school. She then returned to teaching full-time at West Elementary in 2008 where she taught 2nd grade for seven years. She transferred to Russellville Elementary in 2015 and has enjoyed her role as the fourth grade science teacher since that time. Mrs. Crummie graduated from Loretto High School in 1988. She earned her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama in 1992. She earned her Master’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Alabama in 1997.
Mrs. Crummie is married to George Crummie, the former band director at Russellville High School. They have two children, Emili and Patrick. They also have two granddaughters.
